Pythia, would fulfill certain rituals before she initiated herself into her spiritual role of prophetess: bathe, purify in the Castalian waters; dress in ceremonial robes; sit upon a tripod in the temple; inhale vapors arising from a chasm; fall into a state of trance; channel Apollo’s words. This is how I write. Of the rituals and potions; clouded memories and ecstatic states; unintelligible utterings, riddles and rhymes; of the momentary madness; alas, knowledge and wisdom arise.
I count the grains of sand on the beach and measure the sea.
I understand the speech of the mute and I hear the voiceless.

One of the holiest sites of ancient
A most sacred and holy spot devoted to Gaea, the Earth Mother;
Of the many prophesies, advice, warnings and words of wisdom received from the Oracle; the most familiar, valuable and significant of these is: Know ThySelf.
In these words live truth, freedom, peace and understanding.

Hola Ms. Pythia!
Writing prompts: is Cincinnati chili a Greek cook's invention? Is there a difference (other than name) between Greek, Arabic, Armenian and Turkish coffee? Is it true that it's not what you do in life, it's how you see and feel about what you do that's most important? Does a dog have the Buddha nature? Do Tuesdays exist for a reason? If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
Hola Erik!
I don't know, but I'd love to sample some! I don't think so, but I'll ask the coffee grounds to leave the answer on the bottom of my cup. I think so . . . I mean, I KNOW so. Most definitely - and today marks my Golden Retriever Emmy's 10th Birthday! (and she does not even expect a gift) Tuesday's exist to mark the births and deaths and other special events that take place in ones life after Monday but before Wednesday. I would be in Europe - (probably Greece) - sitting at a table in a cafe near the Acropolis, people watching as I sip my Greek-Turkish-Armenian-Arabic coffee, and then swimming in the crystal clear Aegean Sea under the scorching Mediterranean sun, and later wining, dining and dancing at a hip night spot (after my nap, of course).
Thanks ;)
Sounds grand ;) Writer's Block officially over!
